Poetry
Hi! This is my poetry page, which I’ll irregularly update. I’m pulling some of the poetry that I’ve written in my Myspace blog, and I’ll be putting in some other stuff as soon as I type it into my computer!
Where has the happiness gone since it left me?
January 7, 2009
Where has the happiness gone since it left me?
Does it ride the breeze over houses and hills
Shaming the sun with its brilliant glow?
Or does it go into the world to make life more vivid,
To make the sky more blue and the birds’ songs sweeter?
Perhaps it goes to another who lacks in joy,
Enfolding them in warmth and light?
I do not know and never will, but I surely know it’s not with me still
The life I live now colourless, only monotony and emptiness.
A little lost; A little found (Fact: Many of my Myspace names are based off of a poem that I’ve written, and if they aren’t, I often write one)

A little lost; A little found;
A little smile; A little frown;
A little loved; A little not;
A little ignorant; A little taught;
A little mad; A little sane;
A little sun; A little rain;
A little drama; A little sobriety;
A little solitude; A little society;
A little masked; A little exposed;
A little candid; A little posed;
A little empty; A little full;
A little kind; A little cruel;
A little free; A little bound
In me, these things can all be found

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
Quite frankly, why do I care?
I have my own choices set before me
and a choice is what I cannot bear.
Sorry I could not travel both
I, too, mourn that a decision need be made
but one must, as the future fast approaches
I would pick, but, am too afraid.
Long I stood and looked down one as far as I could
But, the future, I cannot see
leaving me to make a decision in the dark
to work toward success without guarantee.
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Once decided, the other is no more
the choice is final; no returns
the alternative, I will never explore.
I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference
Ah, but my goals and yours are not the same
and therein lies the choice:
which of the two roads set before me holds the greater claim.
Friends
February 1, 2008
My friends are my one true constant
in this often insane life of mine
More loyal caring people
you could never hope to find
So I guess this is a thank you
for always being there for me
Without you guys, I know it’s true,
that lost is what I’d be

Right now I’m so confused
Pain inside
Yearning for someone out of reach
Yes, you’re near
But together we’re miles apart
Separated by things closer
to you than I
I see you, your beauty
watching from afar
you don’t even realize
how much I love you
Idle gestures,
so meaningless to you
mean everything to me
